Job Summary: The Yard or Water Technician are responsible for performing plant functions to include receiving, processing and recycling of waste products and oily wastewater in addition to assisting in the operation of facility systems. The technician will be assigned a primary area (Yard or Water) but may be required to work other areas as required by the business.

Essential Functions: Criteria is set forth by CWE. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to the following:

Yard Technician

  • Process bulk materials
  • Perform liquid transfers (container to tank, tank to tank, etc.), including valve alignments
  • Start-up assistance and monitoring of the following:
    • Sampling of all incoming loads
    • Weighing of all incoming loads
    • Trailer offloading
    • Pumping of material throughout the plant’s tanks
    • Monitoring of ventilation system
  • Successfully complete training required by permits and procedures, to include continuing education as required
  • Understand oil operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Water Treatment Technician

  • Process and batch treat wastewaters
  • Perform waste treatment check list
    • Checking the discharge metals
    • Checking the levels of the tanks in water treatment
    • Offloading trailers as needed
    • Checking PH on OR-1 & OR-2 & T-1
    • Ensuring no solid carry over in the DAF
  • Successfully complete training required by permits and procedures, to include continuing education as required

        Tanker Truck Driver

        Job Summary:  The Tanker Truck Driver is responsible for covering local Dayton area routes and will be home each night. The Tanker Truck Driver acts as a representative of CWE by performing materials pick-ups from customer locations and assisting the customer in assuring the materials are transportable over public roads, meeting current D.O.T. guidelines.

        Essential Functions: Criteria set forth by CWE, responsibilities also include but are not limited to the following:

        • Drive trucks to transport materials and equipment
        • Customer relations
        • Loading and unloading of materials at customer & vendor sites
        • Maintain all documentation for transportation compliance
        • Function within CWE Emergency Reporting Procedures
        • Quality Control / Quality Assurance (know your load)
        • Operate bulk liquid equipment
        • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

        Work Environment: Sitting for extended periods of time while driving a truck. Working outside, sometimes in the weather. Operation of vacuum tankers- loading & unloading hazardous materials like flammables, corrosives. 

        Required Experience:

        Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and move 3” 2” 4” size hoses of 25’ lengths. Must be able to connect hoses. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Must be able to climb up a ladder and balance.

        Required Experience:

        • 5 years of satisfactory driving experience required with ability to pass motor vehicle record check. 
        • 2+ years’ experience operation of tractor trailer
        • 2+ years’ experience customer relations. (this is not no-touch freight)
        • Professional communications and organizational skills to work independent of direct supervision
        • Must have a valid Ohio class A CDL license with tanker endorsement. Hazmat endorsement preferred
        • Literate in D.O.T. guidelines and ability to maintain all documentation for transportation laws

          Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership in the development and implementation of environmental management, and related policies, programs and initiatives at multiple facilities. This position covers all environmental media (air, waste, water) in order to assure compliance with applicable laws regulations and industry standards consistent with the corporate and Health, Safety, Environment and Security policy.

          This is an experienced professional with training and education in the environmental field including experience in geotechnical and groundwater projects. This position is responsible for managing, developing, and implementing strategic plans and accompanying policies, programs and initiatives in environmental compliance and management. This person has the technical experience and knowledge to identify, develop and implement the appropriate policies and programs to support the organization’s over-arching goals of regulatory compliance, groundwater sampling and continuous improvement. This position also has experience managing personnel in both exempt and non-exempt positions.

          This is a visible position requiring interaction with all levels of the organization including facility line management and the senior management team. Generally, specialization and years of experience are required.

          Essential Functions: Criteria set forth by CWE, responsibilities also include but are not limited to the following:

          • Manage and continuously improve the environmental areas of the Environmental Health & Safety programs for two facilities in adherence to all Local, State, Federal and company requirements
          • Serve as a contact with EPA, State and OSHA regulatory agencies.
          • Manage tracking and reporting requirements. Assist with permitting for air, water, groundwater, pretreatment and waste regulations.
          • Monitor compliance with air emissions, pretreatment discharges, with both hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs.
          • Evaluate the facility’s environmental compliance and recommend and assist with the development and implementation of corrective actions.
          • Keep abreast of new developments in environmental, health and safety engineering techniques, regulations, etc.
          • Provide guidance to assure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, facility and corporate policies and standards.
          • Day to day and long-term management of existing environmental programs and permits including but not limited to FRP, RCRA, NPDES, SPCC, SWPPP plans along with other permits and programs.
          • Development and implementation of organization-wide plans and policies and programs across all environmental media in support of the organization’s environmental programs.
          • Responsible for the management and facilitation of the corporate environmental goals.
          • Maintain the Dayton’s Site Safety Assessment Work List.
          • Daily plant compliance site walks to inspect all satellite accumulation areas, all buildings, plant safety equipment and the proper PPE utilization.
          • Complete environmental health & safety questionnaires and audits for multiple existing customers and potential new customers.
          • Assist with the consistent interpretation of applicable environmental laws and regulations.
          • Interface with government agencies and the public on environmental matters, as needed.

            Job Summary: The Process Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient operational processes, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations.

            Essential Functions:

            • Evaluate current material handling process, considering innovations in methods to refine material and process requirements to reduce production costs.
            • Develop and write materials and processing specifications to recommend improvements to ensure most efficient and cost-effective handling and packaging procedures (examples: relevant technical documentation, user manuals, and lists.).
            • Develop and write material test and qualification plans and their associated reports.
            • Review test data and undertake post-testing activities including design allowable calculations, equivalency determinations, and failure mode analysis.

                Job Summary: Responsible for executing and reviewing mechanical designs for new and existing facility construction and repairs, upgrades, and recommissioning of existing facilities, independently or as a member of a team, including drawings, specifications, and submittal reviews. Field assignments are local to Dayton, Ohio with minimal travel.

                Essential Functions: Criteria is set forth by CWE. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to the following:

                • Lead creative solutions and problem-solving efforts to bring multiple projects to a close and meet company needs
                • Work on technical assignments (both field and office) and support design related projects
                • Support proposal generation and business development, creating technical scopes of work and man-hour estimates
                • Generates workload plans, design analyses, and construction documents
                • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines, equipment vendors, installation contractors and teams on projects to include facility utility retrofit projects, interfacing with operations and contractors, project cost estimation, identification of energy conservation measures, and plant upgrades
                • Execute mechanical, piping and plumbing system drawing development; general electrical knowledge is a must
                • Develop schematics, plan drawings, elevation views, section views, P & ID, P & FD, specifications, and installation details
                • Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from general sketches, or written and verbal specifications from project team members
                • Review drawings supplied by vendors (shop drawings, submittals, etc.)
                • Create exhibits and documents for presentations and reports
                • Work with the project team to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs and make corrections to drawings as requested by the senior staff
                • Adhere to discipline-specific AutoCAD and design standards
                • Design requirements, including creating standards, details, drawing templates, sheet sets, drawings and designs
                • Execute facility designs in accordance with applicable codes and standards
                • Develop bill of materials
                • Conduct field verification of designs prior to, during, and after construction.
                • Assist with selection of system equipment and components when needed

                Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able climb (limited climbing). Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

                Required Experience:

                • Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering required.
                • 10+ years related experience such as design, DDC, SCADA, faculties utility systems and distribution compressed air, process cooling water, gas distribution, steam boiler, centrifugal chillers, chilled water, fluid transfer, thermal transfer and energy efficiency required
                • Leadership and/or management experience required
                • Proficiency with MS Office to include Excel and Word required
                • Experience with piping and plumbing system design/drafting, and general electrical knowledge required
                • Proven experience in plan production and design for building design projects required
                • Familiarity with local government permitting codes related to utilities, international mechanical code, international fuel gas code, international plumbing code, international building code, international energy conservation code, fire protection, and plumbing; strong understanding of building and NFPA required
                • Must possess valid driver’s license and pass background and drug test required
                • Current Professional Engineer (PE Mechanical) preferred
                • AutoCAD proficiency preferred

                  • Project management and customer PR for domestic and international machine field installation
